Transformative Changes on Our Farm: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude

Exciting developments are unfolding since the arrival of our tractor, creating a ripple of positive change in our community and among the children we serve.

Thanks to a generous donation, we acquired not only a tractor but also a 3-disc plough and a 5-ton trailer, paving the way for enhanced agricultural productivity. Although this investment has left us with a manageable debt of approximately $3,100, we are determined to turn this challenge into an opportunity for growth.

Our farmland has already been ploughed, and we eagerly await the planting season. This is a significant shift from our previous experiences, where garden preparations often delayed planting by an entire month, putting us at a disadvantage compared to other farmers.

This new efficiency could dramatically improve our yields, and we are excited to witness the positive impact at the season's end.

As entrepreneurs, we have taken proactive steps by renting out the tractor to fellow farmers, charging a fee based on acres ploughed. Not only do we ensure our operators are compensated and the tractor maintained from these earnings, but we also utilize the funds to steadily chip away at our debt. On August 19, 2024, we made a $1,000 payment, reducing our balance to $2,100. With continued rentals, we are confident that we will clear this debt swiftly.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported us through donations. Your contributions have been invaluable, and we invite you to join us in the next phase of our project: establishing dormitories and cluster homes for the children on the farm. This initiative will create a nurturing environment where our children can thrive.

A Special Visit from New Holland: Strengthening Bonds and Building Futures

On August 15, 2024, we were honored to host a team from New Holland, CNH, and Cooper Motors Uganda. This esteemed group included Mr. Ahmet Yenisehirli, Mrs. Yasemen Sumbul, Mr. Mzee Anthony, Mr. Jonathan Lukyamuzi, and Mrs. Dorcus Najjemba. Their visit was a profound moment for us, allowing us to showcase how the tractor is propelling us forward and making a tangible impact in our operations. We also shared our vision for the upcoming project, reinforcing our commitment to positive change.

We are optimistic about nurturing our relationship with New Holland, CNH, and Cooper Motors Uganda. The influence they have had on our journey is immeasurable and will resonate for generations to come.

The Power of Water

I wanted to take a moment to share the incredible experience l've just had at the Business and Wealth Summit in Tiverton, Devon.

Over the past three days, I had the privilege of connecting with over 150 entrepreneurs from across the UK and even some who traveled from around the world. I was fortunate enough to speak multiple times during the event, where I unveiled the new "S" added to the word "INTENTION" that is tattooed on my arm.

This addition represents the importance of intention in everything we do. During my talks, I shared an inspiring story about a project we've been supporting in Uganda that began a few years ago.

We started by providing food support to a remarkable young man named @mandela004, who runs a charity called God in Action, caring for 101 orphans. Our collaboration with the @CoCos Foundation and @chris_cocosstyle.

Cocos Foundation, which feeds millions of children in South Africa, has allowed us to help Mandela fulfill his vision of creating a self-sufficient farm for his charity.

We've not only purchased the farm, but we've also raised funds for beds and even secured a tractor from New Holland for the children. However, the journey hasn't been without challenges. Recently, Mandela faced severe drought conditions that made farming extremely difficult. When he expressed the urgent need for a well, we rallied together and managed to raise £7,000 to provide a solution that will enable farming all year round.

I shared this story at the summit, and it truly resonated with the attendees, showcasing the power of entrepreneurs who wish to make a difference in the world. Massive shout out to @officialmattfiddes and @andrewscott.gb for being incredible.

Impact of water on the farm

  1. Water will help us improve on the productivity of our farm

  2. Once irrigated, our farming will no longer be seasonal but from year to you.

  3. To ensure the health of livestock

  4. Used in the construction  of structures on our farm

  5. Home consumption since soon the children will move and stay on the farm permanently

Help Us Create a Home for Hope. As part of our ongoing mission to provide a safe, nurturing environment for the children we serve, we are embarking on an ambitious project to build dormitories. These homes will offer a stable and secure living space, where every child can thrive in comfort and peace. Your contributions will directly fund the construction of these essential facilities, enabling us to continue fostering growth and development in our community. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference.
